After all the years of waiting, Hatchet II was finally here. I grabbed a group of my buddies and went off to the midnight release. I was NOT disappointed. The deaths were great, Danielle Harris was amazing, and all the back story really made the movie interesting. Hatchet II was well worth the wait, and now the wait is on for Hatchet III. Awesome freakin movie!

Adam Green did an amazing job of filling in the back story of Victor in this movie. It was very entertaining and violent, everything you’d expect. The only thing is, that it is way more serious than the first which makes it not quite as lovable but still equally as great. He wraps up the movie very nicely and although I loved this movie, I hope it’s the end of the Hatchet series. If Adam’s not writing and directing them, theres no need to then watch them. So i’m hoping they go out on a high note

Like the red band trailer for Hatchet 2 proclaims. it’s the first time a film will hit theaters in an unrated format. Untouched and uncensored by mpaa so that you the audience may revel is it’s goretastic slaughterfest. And if your going in for that reason you won’t be dissapointment. However if your expecting the stylish cinematography, witty dialogue, great comedic performances or overall solidarity of the first entry I’m afraid you’ll be slightly dissapointed. PIcking up right where the first one ended. Danielle Harris (Little Jamie of Halloween 4 and 5 films) takes over the role of Marybeth for no particular reason who went into the haunted swamp in the first film to search for her missing father and brother (Robert Englund “Freddy Krueger” of the elm st films and Joshua Leonard of the “Blair Witch Project”) whom she eventually found gruesomely murdered. She ventured in with a tour group and she was the sole survivor of that night of terror. This time around in the moments following that films insane finale she escapes Crowley’s clutches and is saved by a local who informs her of her family’s unfortunate ties with the Crowley’s. She than goes into town seeking advice from Rev Zombie (Tony Todd of the Candyman films) and together they assemble an a group of hunters to venture into the swamp to she can seek her vengeance. The drive for the movie is simplistic and once you find characters reasons for their silly actions it all comes together ridiculously effective. The main problem with this sequel is really I guess the unnecessariness of it. Hatchet was a surprisingly over the top and grotesquely fun and clever slasher film that worked. The film had incredible killing sequences and didn’t take itself seriously at all. This time there is an heir of seriousness to the over, over, over exagerated proceedings and the material doesn’t fare as well. Most of the dramatic scenes are unintentionally funny (including Harris’s strange eyebrows) although I can appreciate the character depth and effort being put forth. But let’s face it people this film is supposed to be f13th on steroids let’s not try to add too many dimensions too anything. The movie also seems to have been shot cheaply. The camerawork is mediocre at best although I was a huge fan of the flashy credit sequence. And the screenplay has some interesting spots in it but overall seems a little generic. With all that being said I had a hell of a time watching this. Here’s for the good The kills are amped up by a thousand and thats a lot considering its predecessor. They are imaginative and overly crass in some cases including chainsaws, sanders, intestines, skinnings, decapitations and etc. etc. etc. And there are a lot of them. When the movie rocks into high gear it’s there wherin it’s macarbe charm lies. While the first entry was surprisingly clever and solid this one works as crazy entertainment with a lot of it’s so bad it’s good stuff. The performances aren’t as good and neither is the movie overall but it’s a hell of a experience especially seeing it in a decently packed theater. Maybe next time, ad I’m truly hoping there is one. They could clean it up a bit and spend some more money on it and maybe have some good ideas to really develop the films storyline or be extra, extra, extra, extra crazy and outdo the absurd ridiculousness of this highly entertaining slaughterfest.

    ***CONTAINS SPOILERS ***
Hatchet II picks up right where the first film ends, with Marybeth (now played by Danielle Harris) escaping Victor Crowley’s grasp. Coming to her aid is the swamp hermit Jack Cracker, who’s happy to lend a helping hand- until he finds out whose daughter she is. Cracker then quickly demands Marybeth out of his house and tells her to visit Reverend Zombie, who can fill her in on the truth about Victor Crowley. Once Marybeth is in the presence of Reverend Zombie, we get a long detailed back story on Crowley, his father Thomas Crowley (Kane Hodder) and the no good deeds he was up to prior to Crowley’s birth. We are also filled in about the night Victor died, who was responsible for his death and what he truly is. This part of the film was great as it dug deeper into the mythology that is Victor Crowley. Afterwards, Marybeth pleas with Reverend Zombie to assist her in going back into the swamp to retrieve what’s left of her Brother and Father and ultimately bring them home. Reverend Zombie complies, but first wants to enlist a group of hunters to join them to take out Crowley for good.

Once the group of hunters hits the swamp in search for Crowley, the film falls into a typical slasher formula. We are treated to characters we don’t really care about and wait for them to be picked off one by one. This however is not a bad thing because of why we all go to see a film like Hatchet II in the first place- the unrated & uncut gore-soaked kills! All the kills are top notch with some that are true standouts. The ridiculously long chainsaw that cuts two men in half, from the bottom up, at the same time! The sandblaster makes a nice return and does some damage to the back of one’s head. Intestines pulled from inside and used to decapitate a head. The final kill of the film reminds me of Laurie Strode & Michael Myers from Rob Zombie’s Halloween, only amped up ten times more. If this is the end of Victor Crowley, then what a way to end it!

Some minor gripes I had with the film itself was firstly with Danielle Harris. I know she is adored by so many fans in the horror genre (I am one of those supporters) but I found her performance very mixed throughout the film. I wasn’t really feeling her in the first part of the film, but she did step up towards the end. Another is the first half of the film, except for the very beginning, Crowley is absent. As I wrote earlier, I did appreciate the excellent back story of our deformed swamp killer, but I wish there had been a little more of him to start off with. If you’re like me and you have been pumped and hyped up for this follow up, I can’t help but think that many may feel like the whole experience wasn’t what they had hoped for. It delivered with the kills, enough to make this viewer smile with delight. It just felt like something was missing in this sequel that made the first one so great. With that said though, I am happy that I got the chance to see the film and support Adam Green with his unrated release. I hope everybody who loved, or even just liked the first Hatchet goes out and supports this, it can lead to even more horror films being released unrated in theatres.

Holy shit, this movie kicked ass! Almost every kill goes beyond graphic and gory. It’s almost comedic in it’s brutality; the big bald dude with the table in his mouth is a prime example.

Though the film LITERALLY picks up where the first one ended, it was nice to see a handful of the original cast return in some form or another (with the exception of Joel Moore who, thanks to Avatar, is too good to appear in a low budget horror sequel).

Being a fan of Frozen, Adam Green’s previous movie, it was cool to see that he snuck in some closure to that film AND even cast the chair lift operator as the dude who gets a motor boat propeller to the face. Well deserved I say!

The humor is still very much intact here and almost feels more natural than the previous film; since the first movie was just chockful of teen stereotypes.

All in all, we’ve got a solid slasher sequel here. Some great gore, a few laughs, the gorgeous pint-sized Danielle Harris and, hell, there’s even a nod to Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. I think it’s fair to say that Adam Green is well on his way to becoming one of the new kings of horror.

Moments after the last Hatchet film ends, Hatchet 2 opens with Marybeth managing to escape from the clutches of Victor Crowley(Kane Hodder). Danielle Harris replaces Tamara Feldman as our heroine whose encounter with Crowley reveals horrible family secrets. She looks for help from Reverend Zombie(Tony Todd) and a group of local hunters to return to the swamp. They prepare to hunt a ghost that no one really believes in. What follows is a blood-soaked, balls out, gory ride through the Louisiana Bayou! Adam Green is completely unfettered by the MPAA in this film and every splatter, tear, and rip comes through without interference and in all its horrid glory.

Green manages to assemble one of the best casts in order to present his story. He pops a number of genre vets in front of the camera for various moments, looking for a cheap giggle before hitting you with a genuine laugh in well timed dialogue. He manages to deliver good gory fun throughout the film. After collecting the group of colorful characters together, Green systematically one ups himself with one violent kill after another as he eliminates the hunters and narrows in on Harris and Todd. There are hatchet deaths, the belt sander returns, the biggest chainsaw ever wielded by man, and the bodies pile up as buckets of blood are liberally splashed around in glee. I don’t want to spoil anything, but everytime I thought that Green couldn’t possibly top himself the man would virtually rip my jaw out and deliver another gruesome horror bit of candy for my eyes. I had high expectations for this film as the first quite literally knocked my fucking boots off, so there was no way I was going to be forgiving if this thing didn’t live up to the hype. Green took my expectations and shattered my goddamn skull with the heel of his boot, laughing sadistically as I cried in a puddle of my own blood and piss.

Tony Todd manages to snatch one of the most interesting characters he has ever played, a voodoo con-man with insidious designs on the swamp of Crowley. Todd goes over the top in his presentation, a spooky drawl and fluttering hand motions dismissed as so much bullshit by the people that know him. But beneath the goofy con beats the heart of a true scumbag who uses peoples low expectations of him to trap them in a truly insidious plan from the very beginning. Tony Todd’s haunting voice narrates the twist on Crowley’s origin that the first film only began to touch on, a backstory that presents a death bed curse and answers the question regarding Victor’s mother. Another surprising performance gives some emotional depth to the role of Crowley’s father, also played by Hodder. R.A. Mihailoff (Leatherface) and Tom Holland (Director of Fright Night and Childs Play) join the cast in pivotal roles. Parry Shen also returns, brother to the first films’ tour guide.

5 out of 5… and more. More more more! This film finally sated my bloodlust, the first film to do so since Dead Alive! Incredible gore and a special effects team that deserves all the praise they are likely to get. Slasher nastiness pushes the envelope and raises the bar.

I absolutely loved the original Hatchet, and I appreciate Adam Green ignoring the MPAA and AMC Theaters for taking a chance on this film.

Maybe my expectations were set too high, due to eagerness to see it and rave reviews from the festivals. Hatchet II was, sadly, not as good as Hatchet. I liked it, but I really can’t say I loved it.

While Green came up with a reasonable basis for the story of II, much of the film, especially in the beginning, felt rushed and slapped together merely to get to the central story elements. The jokes were mostly subpar, especially considering how sharp the humor was in the first one, even if often goofy.

The kills certainly upped the ante on blood, rivalling Piranha 3D. And while they tried to be creative as well as paying homage to some inventive kills in the first Hatchet, they still weren’t as good as in the original.

The character development was mostly AWOL. I know Danielle Harris is a major favorite around horror forums, but while she is a competent actress, she just didn’t do it for me taking over the role of Marybeth. Tamara Feldman did a superior and more believable job in the first one. It’s too bad she declined to appear in this one.

My review may sound pretty negative, but I did enjoy Hatchet II, I just thought it should have been better. And I’m not sure if it was intentional or not, but the print I saw seemed like it was an unfinished product. I don’t know if Green meant for it to look like a cheap ’80s production, or my theater got a bad copy.

If you’re really into blood-soaked violent kill movies, you’ll probably love Hatchet II. If you liked the original, you’re likely to still enjoy II, if not love it.

One of those rare occasions were the sequel is far superior to the original.Gore-hounds it doesn’t get much better than this.Tony Todd was priceless! Some of the best kills I’ve ever seen in a slasher ever!Everything was brutal and looked great without any CGI.The back story of Crowley’s mother was done very well. The plot and dialogue was way more serious than the first one in a good way.If you hated the first you might want to give this one a fair chance it’s leaps and bounds above the original. If you liked the first you’ll love this even more.A must own a True Horror Classic.Crowley rules!

I’m sorry but this film wasn’t that good.. I am a huge fan of the original hatchet and I was super excited for the sequel but the sequel just felt like it was straight to dvd material. The movie just too itself WAY to seriously and the acting by danielle harris was just off key. The kills were great which is why we see Hatchet in the first place but that special something was missing. Stick with the original, its far FAR superior then this.. also, the comedy in this film was just stale. Yes a couple funny parts but as a whole it was weak.. While I did enjoy myself I found myself very disappointed. Adam Green is an amazing director and this didn’t seem like an Adam Green film.. Watch the original Hatchet, watch Frozen.. that will show his real talent.. not Hatchet 2..

Took my wife to this flick. I was super hyped for it and eagerly awaited the death and gore. Well unfortunately as stated in the main review…I thought the first half of the movie was a tad slow to get going and once the killing began, it was nothing but good laughs. I liked the movie and that it didnt take itself to seriously but at the same time I thought the first Hatchet was done much better. This was good but only in a sense of Im “dying” for a new slasher series. As much as I like Vic, I dont think he’ll be a new icon anytime soon. Worth the watch, good but not great.

Fans will also get to play “spot that horror icon” and “spot that in-joke”. In one movie, we’ve got Candyman, Jason, Leatherface, the director of Fright Night and Child’s Play, an actor from The Signal and an actress from both incarnations of the Halloween franchise, the director that first hired Hodder for Jason, nods to director Green’s Frozen and Jack Chop, Leslie Vernon, the first Hatchet and probably some other things I can’t remember.

I didn’t mind this at all. I liked the (slightly) more serious tone and the toning down of the more juvenile comedy. The kills were executed well, although not as well as the first film. Danielle Harris’s performance, sadly, disappointed me. She had sporadic moments of talent, but they were far outnumbered by moments worthy of a good cringe. The flashback scenes carried a surprising amount of emotional weight for me, and were much more interesting and – strangely – frightening than those of the first film. I thought it managed to one-up its predecessor, believe it or not.

This sequel has better kills and laughs than the original but it just wasn’t scary, suspenseful or superior and as wickedly fun. If it wasn’t for Danielle Harris give it her all performance and for the standout kills this would have been garbage but it’s still pointless trash that’s all about gore and nothing more. I can’t explain why this was pulled from theaters because it wasn’t that bad it’s in the lines of the recent Piranha 3D movie and that wasn’t pulled but lets be honest it’s more direct to dvd material anyways. Overall it wasn’t worst than the original but it wasn’t superior either it just got the job done and I’m glad the ending didn’t leave it open for a sequel but that’s probably not out of the question yet but I hope it is because these two movies are just not that good to start a franchise but so wasn’t Saw. Wait for television. More of a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Yeah this movie was pretty stank, I was let down right at the getgo. The first movie was actually really good, it blended humor and suspense and gore together seamlessly. This movie just felt like a trainwreck of all of the above. Victor basically is just a Jason ripoff, which is even pointed out in the movie, very tongue in cheek. Basically, this is everything the first movie isn’t. Stick to the first one.

While the first movie was a fun, gory throwback to the 80′s, it’s follow up is anything but. Adam Green fails by trying to make this sequel super serious, thus in turn zapping everything that made the original a fun experience. The first 45 minutes are an absolute draaaaaaaaaaaaaag as it’s exposition followed by more exposition, although some of the flashback scenes do offer some emotional clout, the entire thing is let down by horrendous acting. Someone please tell Kane Hodder that he performs better UNDER mountains of make up. A talented thespian this man is not ! The biggest disappointment surely must be Danielle Harris. Here is a woman who is more than familiar with the horror genre but in this movie she flat out stinks. She does show flashes of brilliance here and there but for the majority of the movie, when she’s not screaming, she’s putting in a very bad performance. The same can be said for the rest of the cast, except Tony Todd. The man with the smoothest voice is this films only saving grace. The rest of the cannon fodder play dumb ass rednecks who don’t even try to gain our sympathy. But I guess it’s not the actors fault. Their director, who obviously was more concerned with making an unrrated gory slasher, has chosen blood and gore over film makings most crucial elements which include suspense and tension. It’s a shame that Green can make a horror/thriller as good as Frozen, but then go all fanboy and crank out something of this nature. A turd is a turd, no matter how much blood and guts you throw on it. This movie is a gore lovers wet dream. The kills are messy and OTT but for others who are after a horror with a bit more substance may want to look elsewhere.

Well, being a fan of the original, I was anticipating the sequel. I’m sad to say it was horrible. The only thing I like about the sequel is that Danielle Harris is in it, but thats where the good stopped for me. For starters the kills were so unrealistic that they were laughable to me, I mean come on I know you have to push the envelope in horror movies, but at least make the kills believable. I do commend them for trying to do the effects the ol skool way without cgi, but it was just horribly executed. The story was also not believable, this young girl that just escaped the clutches of a giant maniac wants to go back a day later!? I also thought Tony Todd’s performance was terrible, what was with the accent with some words he said? Newayz I’ll stop my rant here, I respect Green for trying to bring the old school horror feel back, but he really should have just stuck with the first one. Or at least try to write a better sequel. Skip this one and watch the first one instead. The only reason I’m giving it a 2 is cause of the beautiful Danielle thats it.

Not nearly as good as the first one which I loved. This one just misses the mark. The first was really funny through out and it was fun where this one is a jumbled mess of a movie. The biggest disappointment for me was Victor Crowly. It looked completely different from the first one and I think the whole new look of Crowly sucks when compared to the first one. Anyways all in all its still a fun movie but I just wish I would have rented this before I bought it. Worth a watch but then you’ll forget about it right after.

amazing movie i honestly thought it is a little better then the first one. i love the fact that they put a back story in with the legend of Victor Crowley. I also found it amazing that they brought in the second film exactly where the first one left off, down to the split second. Some people will say that the back story maybe stupid or that it wasn’t as comical as the first, but in my opinion I thought it was to par with it. May Victor Crowley live forever, if only in our hearts.

Had beeen waiting for it to come out and it did not dissapoint. I did /LOVE/ the first one, but this was a way better film experience, the kills were off the chain, the way everything is explained is perfect and kinda beleivible to a certain extent for a ghost story..Excluding the Voodoo mumbo jumbo. Even for a throwback slasher film that is meant to be campy, this was just lazy all the way around. I don’t get what everyone see’s in this film. The first was way better, but it was average at best. It was extremely obvious they were filming on a stage as well, the sets were just bad. It was an overall lazy effort, and the kills werent as original as people think. This is a B movie all the way around, but a reallly bad one at that. The films pacing is painful at times also. Skip it!

Crowley’s gore-splattering in the latter half saved this from oblivion because the heavy handed, witless, and humorless first half+ was downright tedious to get through. Fortunately the group finally makes it to Crowleyville and the splatters that matter get cookin’ a bit. The kills are a more forced gore than the looser mayhem of Hatchet, but still effective. A step down from the original, but ok for some whacked out Crowley violence.

The BD review is overly harsh; while the sequel doesn’t reach the highs of it’s predecessor it’s still damn entertaining. The kills are outrageously gory and fun, if incredibly fake(the make up f/x looks shoddy compared to the original) The film also spends a little to much time with set up and the mythology of Victor Crowly(which is so generic and bare bones it doesn’t really matter anyways). That being said this is a worthy sequel; I didn’t feel let down or slighted in the least. Hope Green makes a Hatchet 3!

After watching the first movie and absolutely HATED IT!!! When i heard the news of a sequel my eyes began to roll. I didnt waste my time buying the dvd, renting it, or even asking a friend to borrow it. Instead i watched it on line. And the outcome of the movie is…..
Well actually it wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be much better than the first but still im glad i didnt waste my money on it. What really made this movie bad was the outlandish kills and how fake they looked omfg! Every kill made my eyes roll and i mean every. also the goofiness which i guess was suppose to be the fun of it was beyond cheesy! Although the characters and the way they developed through out the movie was very good. I really liked uncle bob and to see him bite the dust, there was some what of an intesity here so theres another step up.
I still found this movie pretty bad but it went into the right direction i guess. I just dont understand why people love this series. I really thank adam green would be the perfect director for a wrong turn movie but that seems unlikely. If the series keeps going in the right direction i may be on board but i thank they should just stop while there ahead…

Finally, the long-awaited Hatchet sequel – it’s good but sadly also quite underwhelming.
Far from being as thrilling and atmospheric as the original, mainly because of a tedious and too slow-paced first half, the swamp settings look unsatisfyingly cheap and the plot is somehow lame and unoriginal. I also hate the fact that it feels way too similar to the first part.
However, the cast is really superb with some terrific performances from Danielle Harris (successfully replaces Tamara Feldman), Tony Todd (cool as fuck!), Tom Holland (very believable) and, again, Kane Hodder (fantastic). Furthermore, the gore amount here is even more insane than in its predecessor: a few outstanding decapitations and gory stabbings, some brutal kills by chainsaw and belt sander, one guy gets strangled with his own intestines and one guy violently gets skinned alive (IMO the skinning scene is one of the most outstanding movie kills I’ve ever seen).
All in all, an entertaining flick for slasher fans – just don’t expect too much!

so much gore….in a fun, campy way.
doesn’t take itself seriously….knows what it is and doesn’t apologize!
    adam green = GENIUS!

I don’t get the hate for this one. It was just as good as the first one, if not better — first one tried to be too funny when it just wasn’t.

    Some GOOD deaths.

Oh, lord; it’s sequel time. “Hatchet II” is Adam Green’s sequel to “Hatchet”, as well as his SECOND feature to be released in 2010. Busy guy, I guess.

You may be making presumptions simply by looking at whatever “rating” I gave this film. That’s OK, since this time, I gave a film what it deserves; no more, and no less. Some will despise “Hatchet II”. I’m a little more forgiving. While it lacks the wit and charm of “Hatchet”, this sequel isn’t poorly made. Adam Green put some heart into it, and that’s more than most horror filmmakers can put in these days, but this film hacks away at the original and leaves bits and pieces for me to pick up. It’s not pretty, and this time, it’s not really fun.

“Hatchet II” starts where “Hatchet” left off; with Marybeth escaping Victor Crowley and the swamp, returning to town, and consulting Reverend Zombie about the local legend. You might remember the Reverend from the first film. I know that I did. However, I think I remembered him more because he was played by the talented and remembered Tony Todd. And I think we all know where he’s from.

The film goes smoothly from there to a wild goose chase. Marybeth, the Reverend, and a couple more people venture into the swamp to see if they can find those who died last time. There’s also a reward up for anyone who can put a bullet- or a machete, whichever they prefer- into Victor Crowley’s head. From there, “Hatchet II” becomes the slasher homage it wants to be. It provides viewers with lots of slashing, lots of killing, and buckets of gore. A lot of this is intended to be comedic, although with all due respect, it’s hard to laugh when you’re distracted by how derivative the film is.

I liked “Hatchet” because it had an over-the-top sense of bloody, but smart humor. I enjoyed myself, which is strange, because I’m genuinely hard to please when it comes to this genre, in general. However, I am passionate about it, I enjoy watching films within it, and that’s probably why I don’t like “Hatchet II”. I’ve seen it so many times before, it gets boring after a while, and while it has its pleasures, there’s virtually no reason for any non-”Hatchet” admirer to see it. There is one thing that I admire, and it is the fact that Adam Green probably visited meat factories, butcheries, just to get all the meat which would create the blood for this movie. Man, does he love blood. Why, of course he does, and sometimes, so do I. In “Hatchet”, Mr. Green used if for humor, but here, he can’t recycle that well. But of course, Adam Green can’t stop now, and neither can I.

There will be a “Hatchet III”, and I will watch it, because maybe, just maybe, they’ll stop ending these movies in generic/lame ways and put that good old bullet in Crowley’s head like they intended to in “Hatchet”, and even more intensely in “Hatchet II”. You want gore: that’s what you get. But if you go to movies for substance, and I do, then you won’t find much here. I don’t mind “Hatchet II”, and some people will like it, but there’s something shallow about these swamp waters, something shallow about these deformed killers, and something deadly familiar about these victims. We’re all victims, when you think about it; but our ordeal is less painful. I don’t think that the “Hatchet” movies will ever become an ordeal; but the rest of the series is going to have a hard time finding its audience until it finds the right material to satirize. At least “Hatchet” got it moderately right.

A lot of fans are split on this one. Personally, I thought it was a good sequel. While I do like the first better, this part 2 is still about 3/4 as good. It’s got more kills and slightly more over-the-top gore, but it’s not quite as humorous as the first. Overall it’s a satisfying sequel that just delivers more of the same and I’m fine with that.

The Death Scenes In The Were Far To Corny. Personaly iThink The First Film Was Far Better. They Gave Victor Crowly A Fat Chubby Look. And iLove Danielle Harris, But This Just Wasnt Her Movie.

It seems weird that this movie was not rated a little higher by fans and BD. I found it to be similar to the first one in many ways. Like the first, I found the cast to be pretty entertaining and the kills were just as over the top. The one thing that I found a bit obnoxious was the back story that held up the movie for 45 minutes. Good thing that Tony Todd had a bigger role in this one, because the film might not have survived without him.

You’d think that having your first film gain a cult following despite its low distribution numbers would lead to a movie that really made those fans happy. Unfortunately, that’s not really this film. It’s a rehash of everything that happened in the first movie, but it moves even more slowly. If you liked the first, I’d say just stick with that one and don’t bother tracking this one down. More information here:

What a great movie, everything about it was awesome, i loved the intro that showed some of the victims from the first film, i also loved the level of dread i felt every time victor crowley was around, the tone of the movie may have been a little more serious but it helped increase the fear factor. I think danielle harris portrays mary beth a lot better, lol. I think my favorite part of the whole movie was when rev. zombie was telling the story of victor crowley and it went over some past kills, really gave me chills.

This was more of the same from the first movie. Maybe a little bit more but damn that Crowley is hard to kill! You would think they would got it right by now but by golly they have to use some high tech weapons to do it right.

I have been excited about this film for a long time and finally got to watch it last night. I’m a huge fan of the original, loved it’s humour and over the top violence. This film tried to up the stakes but I didn’t find it particularly funny and I thought the violence in this film was ridiculous. I fell asleep before the last fifteen minutes and I don’t even feel compelled to watch it before I take it back today. Very disappointed. I’m a Danielle Harris fan but I thought she was terrible in this. I hate when I feel this let down by something I’ve been eagerly anticipating.

This one was just as good, if not better than the first. Again the effects were awesome and it picks up right where the first one ends and i love how it just clips right into it without anything else building it up.

Danielle Harris does awesome in this as she now plays Marybeth and i think she does a little better then her previous portrayal. It brings back Shawn once again as a twin brother which i thought was awesome as most of us fell in love with the actor in the first one.

The concept is good and carries on well for a squeal, with alot of elements from the first being scattered throughout. Again, it makes me laugh when people criticize this film for its outrageous antics and kills. That’s the point! Its not supposed to be that serious and that’s what makes it so good.

This is another fantastic film to have around for your friends to watch when you can’t watch anything too serious. I must also add there is a filter throughout the whole film i just love. It makes everything look great! Must have for any slasher fan.
