terrible cgi other than that I hate to say it but I enjoyed it for what it was.I’ve seen worse and I’ve seen a hell of a lot better.Eliza Dushku and Mike Vogel were really good.To bad they didnt have a bigger budget to work with because this movie needed a budget to not look so corny and cheap.
Average but somehow entertaining blend of ‘Jumanji’ and ‘Final Destination’. The biggest problem of the movie is the CGI which looks so terribly tacky, it’s ridiculous. Apart from that I had a nice time watching it: nice plot, good script and it surprisingly never gets boring.
Wow somebody really has there hate on for this film. Writing mistakes: “(Cloverfild)” and “they find out that their fates are sealed when they loses.” 2 out of 10 is ridiculous.
A portion of my review, which is more even:
Open Graves is currently being distributed by Lightning Entertainment and the film was released on DVD February 23rd. The film is smart, sometimes funny and blends death with the naturalness of life i.e. surfing. Paradoxes abound, but centrally Arminan’s story is one of tragedy and unfulfilled love, while nighttime sequences are given poor attention.
Briefly, Open Graves is about seven friends who sit down to play a boardgame, that was: “painted with her blood and tears” (Open). The her is a Spanish Inquisition era witch, who was burned for practicing black magic. The what is called Black Mamba and those who play often die, sometimes beg, and occasionally wish for their previous lives back.

A complete waste of time… and a downer. This is 90 minutes you’ll wish you had back.
Awful, just awful. Not even an ex Buffy cast member could save it. Made me think of Jumanji for adults, but not even as scary as that. Couldn’t even see it through to the end.
Hated it. Good acting, but an awful film. Stay away!
