Troma Entertainment has announced that the limited edition Blu-ray release of Father’s Day, just in time for Father’s Day, will now be a four-disc set. The set, which will contain the film on high definition blu-ray and standard definition DVD, plus a DVD of extra features, and a CD soundtrack EP with songs from the movie including “The Hunter” and “We Are the Universe” from acclaimed musician Smokey Miles, will be available June 12. Troma has announced today they’ll be releasing Astron-6′s Father’s Day in theaters on Friday, January 13, 2012. It’s unclear just how many theaters, but that’s the date nonetheless. This past weekend at Comic-Con, a new poster for Troma’s Father’s Day made the rounds which, quite frankly, is nowhere near as good as the Dude Designs’ one-sheet. Troma looks to finally be heading back in the right direction as they’re not only developing a fifth Toxic Avenger, but they’re also prepping the release of Father’s Day!
