Here’s the Cover Art for Walmart’s Exclusive Release of ‘IT’

And yes, an Extended Director’s Cut is coming soon.

We’re under two weeks away from the 4K/Blu-ray/DVD release of Andy Muschietti’s IT – the film can be digitally purchased now – which will have different versions available in different stores. Best Buy is getting an exclusive Steelbook, while Target is getting their own version that includes a lenticular cover and “Welcome to Derry” postcards.

As for Walmart, it seems to only be getting an exclusive DVD release, oddly enough. The website lists the DVD, with its own artwork, as the store’s only exclusive.

You can check out that Walmart Exclusive art below.

IT arrives on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack/Blu-ray Combo Pack/DVD on January 9.

Special Features include:

  • Pennywise Lives! –  Discover how Bill Skarsgård prepared to portray the primordial creature known as Pennywise the Dancing Clown
  • The Losers’ Club – Get up close and personal with the teenage stars of “IT” as they bond together during the production,
  • Author of Fear  Stephen King reveals the roots of his best-selling novel, the nature of childhood fear and how he created his most famous monster, Pennywise
  • Deleted Scenes – Eleven deleted or extended scenes from the film

  • Creepshow

    Cover + DVD = Ew

    • Vesuvian Villain

Put a bag over her head and I’d still go for it, it’s fine. Redheads are underrated.

      • Creepshow

Oh, I see. You have a penchant for crazy.

        • J Jett

um, excuse me but the word is “sassy redhead” not crazy….um…nevermind. 🙂

      • J Jett

        LOL!! 🙂

    • MODOK

Until I can get a decent movie on Blu-ray for $5 from a giant bin, DVDs will always have a place in my heart and my home.

      • Creepshow

I will admit that I was forced to buy a DVD a few months back. It was The Changeling, and I couldn’t find it on Blu-ray.

        • J Jett

Creepshow, i’m very happy and proud of you for buying one of the greatest horror movies ever!! THE CHANGELING is fucking awesome! 🙂

          • Creepshow

Honestly, you made me do it. : )

          • Vesuvian Villain

Is that the one where Angelina Jolie gets her kid stolen and the cops give her some other completely different kid and then throw her in an asylum for rejecting him? I always thought that was a comedy.

          • Creepshow

Haha! Actually it’s the one with George C. Scott’s weathered mug, playing the role of a pianist (unconvincingly) of all things.

          • Vesuvian Villain

I still need to check that one out then. George C. Scott has never let me down. All hail his weathered mug.

        • I tried watching this years back and it didn’t really stick. I know people love it, so maybe I should try again.

          • Creepshow

I never saw it prior to buying it. I found it cheap, and figured I’d finally give it a shot. And honestly I was expecting it to be better. It didn’t strike me as a horror movie. It was more mystery solving than anything else.

          • Yeah, right? I was curious why so many horror circles raved about it too. I was very lukewarm towards it.

          • DukeStKing

Oh no. I just bought it myself after hearing all the praise heaped upon it all these years. I guess I shouldn’t go in expecting too much?

          • Creepshow

It’s not a “bad” movie. I was in the same boat as you. I figured it was a classic that slipped past me all these years, based on people’s opinion of it. But after watching it, I was expecting something WAY more creepy than what I got. Decent story, but I was a tad underwhelmed in the scare department.

          • DukeStKing

Thanks. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much how it is nowadays with horror. All the hype, and then, nothing. Maybe had I seen it way back then, it would’ve been creepier. Could’ve been why I enjoyed The Sixth Sense so much. Saw it opening day. Hence, no hype.

  • SpacemanSpliffz

oh good, we get to enjoy yet another shot of what looks like a pedo with a lazy eye in clown makeup….yay?

  • Rohan

DVD!? What’s with this bullshit? Everyone knows VHS is where it’s at!

  • Better than the regular cover art, but where’s the Blu-Ray? Oh well. I’m waiting on the Director’s Cut regardless.

    • NOCC Monkey

      I hear you!

  • Rick Marques

It’s the same cover for my country.

  • Chrissie-Watkins

I think I’d rather go into the Neibolt House than a Walmart

  • Eddie Barsh

Amazing!! Simple but very demented look to it ! They did a perfect job not trying to do too much w the design. Love the balloon overlay/reflection !

  • ManateeAdvocate

The Director’s Cut should be out in about four months. I’ll wait.
