Drew Barrymore Shares Cute BTS Photos From ‘E.T.’ and ‘Firestarter’

Published

If you stop and think about it, it’s pretty incredible just how long Drew Barrymore has been working in Hollywood. The majority of actors play in a handful of films and then kinda fade into obscurity. But Barrymore has been going for over 35 years, getting her big break in Stephen Spielberg’s E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial back in 1982, although her first role was in the 1980 film Altered States. Afterwards, she appeared in the Stephen King book-to-film adaptation of Firestarter as Charlene “Charlie” McGee, where she blew away viewers and critics.

Earlier today, Barrymore must’ve been feeling nostalgic as she cleaned out an old storage unit because she posted a photo from behind the scenes of both E.T. and Firestarter. While not much is revealed (the E.T. one looks like a promo for a TV sitcom and the Firestarter one is just her sitting on her official set chair), it’s still rather charming to see that these films still have such meaning and impact on the actress.

While E.T. is certainly the more popular of the two films, I think we can all agree that Firestarter deserves its dues as well. Hopefully this gets a lot of people to check out the film.
