“Twin Peaks” Star Sherilyn Fenn Loses a Battle With a Garbage Disposal in ‘Wish Upon’ (Clip)

In this new clip from Wish Upon, which is strikingly similar tonally to Final Destination, The Conjuring‘s Joey King watches as her new music box mysteriously opens up. Meanwhile, “Twin Peaks'” Sherilyn Fenn has some issues with her garbage disposal, which ends up breaking her neck. That’s one helluva disposal.

In theaters July 14, 2017, King plays a 16-year-old misfit who finds a magic box that promises a chance at the life she’s always wanted — only to discover that each wish demands a deadly payment. We recently shared a brand new trailer that looks likeThe Craft meets Final Destination.

Sydney Park (“The Walking Dead”), Shannon Purser (“Stranger Things”), Ryan Phillippe (Shooter, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cruel Intentions) and Elisabeth Rohm (“Joy”, “American Hustle”) also star.

In the latest horror thriller from the director of ANNABELLE, 17-year-old CLARE SHANNON (Joey King) is barely surviving the hell that is high school, along with her friends MEREDITH (Sydney Park) and JUNE (Shannon Purser). So when her dad (Ryan Phillippe) gifts her an old music box with an inscription that promises to grant the owner’s wishes, she thinks there is nothing to lose. Clare makes her first wish and, to her surprise, it comes true. Before long, she finally has it all: money, popularity and her dream boy. Everything seems perfect – until the people closest to her begin dying in gruesome and twisted ways. Now, with blood on her hands, Clare has to get rid of the box, before it costs her and everyone she loves the ultimate price.

Be careful what you wish for…

    Goofy as hell.

Um….what garbage disposal switch is at the waist? And what garabage disposal is not powerful enough to just cut the hair yet has the power to snap a neck? I love me some ridiculousness but when it comes to everyday things….c’mon.

      My thoughts exactly.

The first question about the switch…spot on. However, it has nothing to do with power to cut. Hair, thread, etc. typically get wrapped up in machinery that rotates. It’s more likely that her hair would have been torn out from the force than her neck breaking. But that’s movies for ya. Suspension of disbelief, especially when it comes to those in the horror genre.

They do have switches at the waist. My old apartment had it right in front of the sink and it kept scaring the living hell out of me every time I bumped into it. I HATED cleaning out the disposal because of it. It was a terrible design and my landlord refused to get it rewired.

Secondly, the box is what is keeping everything happening. It is a supernatural event which is why the disposal is able to do such a thing and why her fingers keep slipping off the switch. She cannot save herself no matter what she tries.

Third. This is why the movie should have been rated R. This scene should have been akin to the Scalping Chair of SAW IV but instead we have to settle for a lame neck break…

I agree, I totally think this film should have been rated R

That’s not horror, that’s Darwinism in action.

what a shit scene, for a start only a small part of her hair went into the top of the sink hole..for that much hair to drop to the bottom of the disposal like that with the length of her hair and her height she would have had to have had her face in the sink lol also….the button was close to her hand the first time and 2nd time he pressed it and she was stood right infront of the sink yet when her hair is stuck her arm is stretched fully out and she is still far away from the switch lol

    I just want the box.

This can go on the list of probably wouldn’t have been the best Horror film ever, but being rated R could’ve given it more of a possibility of being a decent film, Horror wise.

This looks really awful, the build up is way too short and the pay off is none existent. Will be skipping this one.
