After the success of Knives Out, Lionsgate is going horror heavy this year and returning to the roots. It all begins with the mysterious Antebellum, a brand new horror film from the producers of Get Out and Us that will arrive in theaters on April 24, 2020.

Antebellum stars Janelle Monáe as successful author Veronica Henley, who finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late.

The trailer didn’t tell us much and neither do the first stills, which once again bring horror to the past and present.

Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz directed the film, which also stars Marque Richardson II, Eric Lange, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Tongayi Chirisa, Gabourey Sidibe, Rob Aramayo, Lily Cowles, and Jena Malone.
