Dead Space 2 looks to have one-upped its predecessor it every way. It was scarier, had more action, looked amazing, was received better critically and now it’s officially outsold the original by a very wide margin. One could even go so far as to say it strategically dismembered all expectations! HA! Thank you, thank you, I’m here all night – try the shrimp puffs, they’re delicious. While revealing the sales for their newest releases, EA let the world know that Dragon Age 2, Dead Space 2 and Crysis 2 have all passed the highly sought after 2 million sales mark. Well, I suppose any number above a million is highly sought after, but that’s beside the point.
EA continued their shameless number dropping by saying sales for Dead Space 2 are 40% higher than sales of the original over a similar time span. This means a third game is all but certain since great critical reception and big sales almost always equals another game. But before we dig in to a potential third game, how about giving us Dead Space 2 fans some more DLC? Because one just isn’t enough.
