Steam Reaches Almost 500 Million Dollars In Revenue For The 1st Half Of 2011

The magical and wonderful land that is STEAM is on course to hit about 1 billion dollars in sales by the end of this year. Halfway through 2011 they have already hit 500 million.

Portal 2 led the pack with 1.1 million units sold. Picking up the rear was a decent amount of names you may recognize. Check out the top 10 past the break. Steam Estimated Top 10 Titles, by Units Sold (1st Half, 2011)

4. Counter-Strike (Valve) – 399,000 Units Sold ($2.7 Million USD)
5. Total War: Shogun 2 (SEGA) – 326,000 Units Sold ($15.1 Million USD)
6. Monday Night Combat (Uber Entertainment) – 264,000 Units Sold ($2.9 Million USD)
7. Brink (Bethesda Softworks) – 256,000 Units Sold ($13.5 Million USD)
8. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (Electronic Arts) – 250,000 Units Sold ($4.2 Million USD)
