Promo Art For John Carpenter’s ‘Riot’
Beyond the break you can take a peak at some early teaser art for John Carpenter’s newly titled RIOT (originally SCARED STRAIGHT). Produced by Nu Image, Nicolas Cage is still toplining the film that follows a death row inmate who is helping to reform a group of juvenile delinquents in a Scared Straight program when a large-scale riot breaks out. The screenplay was written by Joe Gazzam.
What if you could SMELL The Substance? That’s the hook for a unique upcoming screening of Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance, which has been dubbed the “Odorama Screening.”
Taking a page out of the William Castle and John Waters playbook, the theatrical gimmick will allow attendees to scratch-and-sniff special cards featuring unique movie-themed scents!
Distributor MUBI explains, “As part of MUBI Fest Chicago, we’re presenting a one-of-a-kind scratch-and-sniff screening of Coralie Fargeat’s modern body horror classic.
“Each guest will receive a numbered scent card. When a number appears on screen, scratch the matching panel and experience the film through an entirely new sense.”
