Rumor Control: No Date For ‘Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever’
While another website is reporting that Ti West’s Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever is arriving on DVD next April, we did a little thing called fact checking where a Lionsgate rep tells us that the story is “completely fabricated”. Keep your eyes posted here on B-D for an official announcement when something solid comes in – we’re looking forward to this one just as much as you. In the sequel to Eli Roth’s popular debut film starring Judah Friedlander, Larry Fessenden, Alexi Wasser, Rider Strong, Giuseppe Andrews, Rusty Kelley, Marc Senter and Mark Borchardt, the killer virus comes out of the woods and has a date at the high school prom.
One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!
The new release will feature fresh SteelBook artwork from Vance Kelly, seen below.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate — an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences.
