Briana Gets Dirtied Up For ‘Sorority Row’

Five hot chicks and murder, sounds pretty great to me… This weekend (or how about right now) you’ll finally be able to catch the trailer for Summit Entertainment’s Sorority Row, their remake of the classic House on Sorority Row hitting theaters on October 2. Just in time for the trailer’s debut, we caught up with one of the five hotties, Briana Evigan, who chats about her role in the sorority – and getting her hands dirty.
SPOILERS FOLLOW

Sorority Row (2009)With five sorority girls in the mix, each and every one of them has their own character trait. Briana tells us she’s not the not queen bitch, but in fact, the complete opposite.

I am the lead, but I am actually — there are a lot of girls in this movie, a lot that start are strong right from the start. I could say that every girl is a lead but people start getting killed. I don’t get killed; I am one of the heroes,” she reveals. “But, I am the nice lead and then there’s this super, super, super bitchy lead, who plays the opposite of me, which is Leah Pipes. We both kind of act off each other, were always at each other’s throats [and] can’t stand each other. Her and me kinda skewed off each other the whole movie. My character is very nice and kinda the outsider of the sorority girls who wants to go over there to try and get rid of some of the tomboy style that she has. Maybe she can fit in with all of the girls, which she does and learns to love them, becomes friends with them. She’s the smart one, though, so when problems start happening, she thinks very logical about things while the other girls are thinking about themselves.

Starring in a film with five other female leads, Briana explains that this was actually a pretty new experience in her life.

It was funny for me because I’ve never really had that many girlfriends, I always had like two girlfriends or so and then a whole bunch of guy friends. Now it’s the opposite because I’m so close with all the girls from Sorority Row. I have a ton of girlfriends right now. We all kind of got there a little worried about what it was gonna be like working with all these girls who were kinda leads. It turned out to be just wonderful, everyone become great friends.

The imagines that have been released display Evigan wet and dirty, she talks a bit about how nitty-gritty Sorority Row is.

It was so awesome, so wonderful to do a horror film. I was dirty maybe 20 minutes into the movie; I’m dirty for the rest of the whole film. I fall down a well and cut my head open and basically have blood and mud on me for the entire rest of the movie. And it only gets dirtier and dirtier.

Unlike Burning Bright, this film is shaping up to be a solid R-rated film, with an unrated version coming to DVD.

I’m guessing this is going to be R,” she continues, “Oh Yeah, the violence is very in your face. I can’t imagine it not being R. I think they’re going to have an unrated version they’re going to do on DVD.
