Sony Screen Gems has given their thriller The Roommate an official release date of October 1, 2010. The studio is pretty well known for announcing dates early and sticking to them. On the other end, Warner Bros. Pictures has shifted Richard Kelly’s The Box off its Halloween release to a November 6th, 2009 release. I think this is a smart move distancing itself from Lionsgate’s Saw VI, which is sure to do good Halloween weekend. For more information on both films, click the titles above.
