In an article announcing that Syfy is teaming with indie production company After Dark on two films for the network’s Saturday night creature-feature slot, the plot details were also revealed. Steven C. Miller’s Scream of the Banshee, starring Lauren Holly (“NCIS”) and Lance Henriksen (“Aliens”), is about a professor who releases a creature with a bone-splitting scream. The film is in post-production. The second is 51, which revolves around a group of reporters allowed access to a top-secret Air Force base housing aliens. No director has been chosen for 51. Both films are also going to hit theaters as part of After Dark Originals this fall.
