Probably reacting to my news posted Friday where I revealed that Dennis Iliadis (Last House on the Left) would be directing Universal’s Jekyll, Sidney Kimmel Entertainment quickly announced that he’s also signed on for Pay the Ghost, a new supernatural thriller slated to go behind camera this summer. Ghost, which was adapted by Dan Kay from a Tim Lebbon short story, kicks off on Halloween night, when a couple’s young son is mysteriously abducted. A year later, they begin to sense his presence in frightening ways. A string of terrifying clues draws them to search for the boy throughout New York, where they uncover ancient secrets and discover a vicious, vengeful spirit. I think this sounds pretty great and can’t wait to hear more. I’d rather see this than Jekyll any day.
