When the SXSW Film Festival was all said and done, the two films everyone was talking about were A Serbian Film and Red White & Blue, a violent 70’s-esque thriller from Simon Rumley. David Harley caught up with Simon to talk about his uber-violent and bloody horror film that he says “is actually a bit like going back to the early 70’s with the Video Nasties.” The flick takes place in Austin Texas, where the lives of three young people “Erica, Franki and Nate” intertwine in a fateful, tragic way and head down a rocky and violent road to heart-rending oblivion.
