An interesting story popped up this evening over at Vulture who is reporting that Columbia Pictures may have to recast Johnny Blaze (aka Ghost Rider) in the forthcoming Ghost Rider sequel. In short, they lose the rights this November, and star Nicolas Cage is locked up until then. Columbia Pictures is hoping to get an extension on their contract before they recast Cage, or in a worse case scenario, watch the rights revert back to Disney/Marvel. I say recast Cage, please. On a side note, a script has recently been completed by Scott Gimple and Seth Hoffman, with a hunt for a director now on. Click below for the story.
