What’s Playing revealed tonight that Rachael Taylor (Transformers, Shutter) and Joel Kinnaman (Snabba Cash) have been cast alongside Olivia Thirlby and Emile Hirsch in Summit Entertainment’s alien-invasion thriller The Darkest Hour. What makes this project interesting to me is Chris Gorak, who will be directing the pic. The scope and intensity of his indie Right At Your Door makes me think Gorak is going to knock this one out of the park. Darkest Hour is described as a 28 Days-like thriller is set in Moscow and follows a group of Americans traveling in the city when an alien invasion occurs.
