Mike Patton Scoring ‘The Place Beyond The Pines’

Mike Patton, the enigmatic frontman behind Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, and more, has been tapped by writer/director Derek Cianfrance to score the upcoming crime thriller/drama The Place Beyond The Pines
Starring Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Rose Byrne, Eva Mendes, Ray Liotta, and more, the story revolves around a motorcycle stunt rider (Gosling) who considers committing a crime in order to provide for his newborn child, an act that puts him on a collision course with a cop-turned-politician (Cooper). The film apparently has a release date of Sept. 26th, 2012 in France, but only an ambiguous 2012 release date for the US.
Patton scored Crank 2: High Voltage and The Solitude Of Prime Numbers as well as providing voicework for The Darkness and Left 4 Dead.
Patton is also hard at work on another Tomahawk record, which has a tentative release date for late summer.
