‘Candyman’ Victim Mothers ‘Red Riding Hood’

Virginia Madsen (The Haunting in Connecticut, Candyman) has joined the cast of Warner Bros.’ medieval thriller Red Riding Hood as the mother of Amanda Seyfried’s character. Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) is directing the supernatural thriller that also stars Lukas Haas, Shiloh Fernandez, Julie Christie and Gary Oldman. David Leslie Johnson (Orphan) wrote the script, which is set in a village haunted by a werewolf. It is a Gothic retelling of the “Little Red Riding Hood story”, with a teenage love triangle at its center. Warners is aiming to have this in theaters by March 11, 2011.
