Relativity to Release ‘Season of the Witch’ in January
After originally slated for release through Lionsgate, Relativity announced they’ll do the honors of distributing Season of the Witch in theaters on January 7, 2011. Dominic Sena (Swordfish), Nicolas Cage stars as a 14th century Crusader who returns with his comrade to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence.
