Steven Spielberg Commits to ‘Robopocalypse’ for 2013

Now that Steven Spielberg is done frolicking around with Adventures of Tintin and a stupid talking horse movie (War Horse), he can finally get back to business. The super director/producer has officially committed to DreamWorks that he’ll bring the epic Robopocalypse to theaters in 2013. A January 2011 start date is scheduled. Robopocalypse, based on the novel of the same name by Daniel H. Wilson, explores the fate of the human race following a robot uprising. Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) has penned the adaptation. I just hope he drastically differentiates this from War of the Worlds, A.I. and Minority Report. I want to see the DARK side of Spielberg return.
