A Report from the Location of ’11-11-11′

Writer-director Darren Lynn Bousman is currently in Spain prepping 11-11-11, his religious horror flick that’s set to begin lensing early next month. While deep into pre-production, Bousman was forced to revisit some demons that inspired the screenplay. He writes a bit about it in his blog: “I finished the first draft of 11 11 11 without losing my mind – though at times I stepped into some very dark places… But my curiosity ended on the Web. Once I closed my computer and shut off the Internet I was transported back into the SANE NORMAL world in which I lived… My wife… My dog… Seinfeld.” He continues, “Cut to today. Never in a million years would I have imagined that coming to Spain would bring me one step closer to the horrors I had read about online.” While he doesn’t go into details, he promises a series of blogs, with the first focusing on “the house”. You can read the blog in its entirety here.
