Leigh Whannell, one of the masterminds behind Saw, Dead Silence and the highly successful Insidious (writer on all three), has already completed a screenplay that’s going to literally blow your mind. It’s a horror comedy by the name Cooties. Here’s the pitch:
“I actually just wrote a comedy about a zombie virus that breaks out in a primary school but only effects people who haven’t been through puberty,” Whannell tells Bleeding Cool. “There’s all these eight or nine year olds running around and the teachers are holed up inside the school. And the titles of the film is…? ‘Cooties.’ That’s just an out and out comedy.”
