TV: The Biggest Cock Tease of My Life, and Why Fox Sucks: ‘Locke & Key’ Not Ordered

Either the pilot episode directed by Mark Romanek was a piece of sh*t (not likely) or Fox hasn’t actually read the comic series by Joe Hill (more likely), either way the studio has passed on bringing the pilot episode of Locke & Key to series, reports Entertainment Weekly. (How much do you wanna bet that Fox spent too much money in getting “House” back for one measly season?)

Easily one of the best genre comic series on the market, “Locke & Key,” from Stephen King’s son, tells the story of Nina Locke (Miranda Otto) and her three children, Tyler (Jesse McCartney), Kinsey (Sarah Bolger), and Bode (Skylar Gaertner), who survive an unspeakable horror and attempt to rebuild their lives at Keyhouse, their family home in Lovecraft, Massachusetts. It is a mysterious New England mansion, with fantastic and transformative keys hidden inside its walls that are also being sought by a hate-filled and relentless creature with ties to the Locke family’s past who will stop at nothing to accomplish his sinister goals.

Nick Stahl and Ksenia Solo also starred in the pilot presentation.

The fact that a pilot was shot and then dumped makes this one of the biggest cock tease of my life. Although there is a small, teensy-weensy bit of hope as EW reports that none have been confirmed dead by the network, as they could be retooled for a later release or picked up by another outlet.
