New ‘Resident Evil: Retribution’ Poster Takes You To The Wasteland

Resident Evil_Quad__7_1_12

Resident Evil: Retribution is only a few months off and now we have a new banner/billboard poster that you guys will likely be seeing a lot more of around town (depending on where you live). The “Alice In Wonderland” pun is beyond iffy, but if you’re a fan of the series it’s a nice image.

In theaters September 14, “The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe, Michelle Rodriguez, Johann Urb, Oded Fehr, Kevin Durand and Li Bingbing all star.

Head inside for a better look.

    very cool!

Stupid as hell. Just like all the Resident Evil movies. The awfulness has reached inconceivable bounds. The fact that these movies continue to be made and are successful is a testament to how generally awful modern cinema has become and how retarded audiences are as well.

  • djblack1313

poor xomnbi22. the fact you think you’re superior or smarter than anyone is laughable. i actually LOVE the fact that these movies piss you off. it brings me joy. try unclenching. you might be happier in life.

  • JonOfTheShred

That’s right, xombi22. Resist the urge to have standards, or at least resist the urge to share these opinions, otherwise people might disagree with you and will reply in a hypocritically condescending fashion to defend a film they realize has no redeeming qualities, because otherwise they might realize their own lack of taste in films

  • GunsOfNavarone

I’ve got to be honest, these films are pretty awful. Visually they look good, albeit some dodgy cgi from time to time. But the problem is the they have been turned into superhero movies and it is so far removed from the source material that it’s verging on absurd. Yes Milla is good with action and yes she puts a lot of training in, but in the end it’s the same formula every time. She is the last protagonist standing and has to have some epic fight at the end often against a contrasting colour to the outfit she is wearing. If it was mixed up a bit and made her more vulnerable and the zombie threat seem more deadly it would be a step in the right direction. As it is you never feel any sense of threat. You always know some sort of acrobatic death move is on the way.

JonOfTheShred…oops, i mean xombi22 (since you are the same person using different account names or your just as full of yourself and delusional about your “good” taste in movies) there’s a difference between not like a franchise/movie and saying so and being a dickbag and insulting the people who may like something you don’t like. understand? i doubt you do or will. you and your alter ego (or split personality) xombi22 i have no problem with not liking these movies. it’s when you feel the need to bash fans of these movies in order to make yourselves feel better about yourselves that i take issue with. understand? again, i doubt you do or ever will. but by all means keep living in your own fantasy world where you ARE superior to everyone else. LOL.

I honestly don’t mind people giving their opinions about these films.. If you don’t like it, that’s fine. Just don’t try to parade your “taste in films” around like it’s at the top of some pyramid and everyone’s below you..

Anyways, I think the poster looks pretty cool.. I’m just not feeling the suit they chose for “Alice” jeje

I’m not xombi22, djblack1313. I just saw your jimmies were nice and rustled and had to continue the rustling. Way to defend your movie by personally attacking people that didn’t like it! Strong argument, brah.

I agree with the xombi mang that the Resident Evil films are garbage; merely cash-cow vehicles riding the coattails of a classic video game, yet neglecting to use it as more than a springboard for the director to shoe-horn his wife into every scene with ridiculous powers.

I actually liked the first 3 movies. They definitely got progressively shittier, but they are still entertaining despite quite a few flaws. I am a zombie fanatic, so I expect a bit of cheese with my movies. But to act completely oblivious to their shortcomings and attacking people who didn’t like the film is just absurd.

  • djblack1313

Jon, fair enough. i fully agree that these are cheesy-ish guilty pleasure movies and i will definitely be there for the reboot (whenever it comes) and i hope it’s more horror based but i was merely reacting to xombi22′s hyperbole that he had such amazing taste in movies and that anyone who likes these movies are “retarded”. yet i don’t see you telling him that his calling people like me “retarded” is out of line.

I laugh at the people who hate the Resident Evil movies with a passion, yet keep coming back for more and more punishment. You would think after having survived four “shitty” movies they would get the hint. No, instead these hypocrites will be there opening weekend to bitch and complain some more.

    • Taboo

I know someone like that, they don’t like the series at all. But yet they still go on opening day to watch em’, heh…
