Guilermo del Toro’s ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark’ Shooting Info

We got word this evening that Miramax’s remake of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is scheduled to begin filming this May in Australia. Being produced by Guillermo del Toro from a script he co-wrote with Matthew Robbins, Troy Nixey is on deck to direct. Here’s the synopsis being used as of right now: Trapped in a hidden basement, the vicious supernatural occupants of a mysterious Victorian mansion hunger for new victims. Newly arrived at the house, only 8 year old Sally Hurst realizes the nature of the menace. Now, if only the adults around her would… Watch for casting news soon.
