I Am Number Four thesp Callan McAuliffe is joining the cast of Paradise Lost, Legendary Pictures’ big-budget adaptation of John Milton’s 17th-century poem that will be directed by Alex Proyas, says Variety.
Bradley Cooper, Ben Walker, Casey Affleck and Djimon Hounsou star in the heavenly epic, while Rock of Ages thesp Diego Boneta is being eyed for the role of Adam, the first man on Earth.
McAuliffe will play Uriel, one of the first seven archangels created by God. When Lucifer (Cooper) rebels against God and Michael (Walker) is named commander of Heaven’s army, the dedicated soldier Uriel becomes his second in command.
Project, which will feature eye-popping aerial warfare that may be shot in 3D, will fall under Legendary’s overall agreement with Warner Bros.Pictured: Callan McAuliffe
