[NYCC '12] The New ‘Evil Dead’ Logo Springs Forth

The Evil Dead Cabin 1981

You New York Comic-Con attendees have your calendar marked for Saturday, October 13th right? Because that’s when the Sony Pictures panel will give us the first footage from both their Carrie and Evil Dead remakes. And now we have a look at a new logo for the latter film.

Also if you won’t be in attendance, just click on over to Bloody-Disgusting Saturday, October 13th 3:45 PM – 4:45pm ET / 12:45pm – 1:45pm PT. Bookmark this page because we’ll have the LIVE stream of the panel for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home. That means you can watch the new footage at the same time as those in NY, right here.

Head inside for the new Evil Dead logo. Like the Carrie Logo we gave you a few days back, it’s not much, but it’s something!

EVIL DEAD: “In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up long-dormant demons that possess each of those friends in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.” FilmDistrict will release in theaters April 12, 2013.

CARRIE: “A reimagining of the classic Stephen King horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.” Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Screen Gems will release in theaters March 15, 2013.
