First Clip From ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ Welcomes You To Texas Motherf*cker!!!

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s still, we’ve now got a clip from Texas Chainsaw 3D, which continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace.

The clip (via Machinima) expands upon the scene from which yesterday’s still, featuring Nikki (Tania Raymondei) and Ryan (Tremaine ‘Trey Songz’ Neverson), was pulled. There’s some chainsaw action and a Shane Black-esque one liner. Question. Why would someone welcome Leatherface to Texas? He’s already there, right? It kind of makes even less sense than your stewardess or pilot welcoming you to a city they arrived in at the same time as you.

In theaters January 4, 2013, the slasher is being directed by John Luessenhop from a screenplay by Adam Marcus, Debra Sullivan and Kirsten Elms. Dan Yeager, John Dugan, Bill Moseley, Alexandra Daddario, Sue Rock, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Gunnar Hansen, Tobe Hooper, Paul Rae, Keram Malicki-Sánchez, Ritchie Montgomery, Trey Songz, Marilyn Burns, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry and Richard Riehle star. It’s been rated “R” by the MPAA for “strong, grisly violence and language throughout.

Head inside for the clip!

The seventh incarnation taps into Hooper’s classic 1974 film that follows the lead character, Heather, who along with her friends, travel to Texas in order to collect an inheritance. The spin? What would you do if you found out your cousin was Leatherface, and he was now YOURS?

‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace. The townspeople long suspected the Sawyer family, owners of a local barbeque pit, were somehow responsible. Their suspicions were finally confirmed one hot summer day when a young woman escaped the Sawyer house following the brutal murders of her four friends. Word around the small town quickly spread, and a vigilante mob of enraged locals surrounded the Sawyer stronghold, burning it to the ground and killing every last member of the family – or so they thought.

Decades later and hundreds of miles away from the original massacre, a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. After embarking on a road trip with friends to uncover her roots, she finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion. But her newfound wealth comes at a price as she stumbles upon a horror that awaits her in the mansion’s dank cellars…

Wow. Very promising. The little hop over the fence is great! He even kinda has the ’74 run down pretty well. I’m into it.

    • rgold

lol, who knew Leatherface could jump hurdles?

  • Dns88

When i first heard about this i was like yayyy. Then i found out it will be in 3d and i was like nayy (3d suxx i dont get why is it so popular). Then i saw the posters and i was like hell yes! Then i saw the trailer and i was like ummmm ooo-kay. Now ive seen this and all i have to say is WHY? Seriously just…WHY?

  • egaltt23

hahaha that’s freakin’ creepy!!! Can’t wait!!!

  • djblack1313

not bad! i like Tania Raymondei and i like what i see of her character thus far.

  • EvilHead1981

Y’know…. that’s actually not that bad. It feels like something you’d see in the original TCM series. The long ass barn/garage even has that “feel” to it. Yeah, I’m up for this!!

  • Taboo

    Not too shabby actually.

  • Zombie-Killa

Hopefully, Trey Songz is the first one to go.

Yes, I’m one of those people.

  • Samhain2010

I guess I am going to be “that” guy again. This looks dreadful! This looks like they grabbed a Red One camera with a couple lenses and shot a “movie” that had the least scary parts of TCM. I am fine with doing something different, but this seems to have been the approach for every subsequent sequel/ remake. This looks like a wannabe Friday the 13th film. TCM had two “chase” sequences. The real scares came from the house and the family. This just looks like it’s going to be some guy chasing people around for an hour. And both these actors are brutal here! That line is freaking stupid! “Welcome to Texas Mother Fuh…!” Of course everyone in the audience is supposed to laugh, and laugh, and laugh. Hahahahaha. Is she a young boy going through puberty? How come her voice keeps cracking like a twelve year old? What is Trey Songz doing in this movie? Who is Trey Songz? He looks like the worst actor ever! He is struggling to even say “Did you hit him?” Wowzer this is going to be a sloppy mess.

  • Kroork

Could be good. I liked the chainsaw movies and I enjoy a good chase scene !

I’m not sold on this yet but that clip was promising

  • murdermakesmecum666

    this looks fuckin terrible.

  • STRIK9

An obviously cliche sex scene from that shot with trey schlongz already has me doubtin this film. That gives it that mainstream Mtv vibe right away.Fuck it,I ‘ll see this regardless, but I’m not expectin much.

  • Matt-fBR

I’m only gonna watch this because I’m a sucker for slasher films. But so far this doesn’t look very good… And that line played like a lameass version of Brody’s line in ‘Jaws’.

  • Aaron Emery

Okay, so that music is dreadful! Hopefully the final cut doesn’t have that stupid score! Other than that as long as I hear that chainsaw ripping though the cinema again I’ll be a happy guy. Also looks like some good chase scenes in here!

  • rubizzar

no. i want my cross dressing fat chainsaw dancing leatherface back, i dig the original and the TCM2 two very different films but both badass on many levles but this? i’d rather see leatherface vs jaws in 3d

  • Danny-E

Once again actors acting like they are in a horror movie. Seriously, the acting and writing looks awful. Cheesy lines like “Welcome to Texas MF” is just dreadful. Was this shot on someone’s phone? It just looks awful.

  • m-m-m-MONSTER_KILL

Shame that this was shot in 3D and therefore kinda HAS to be released in theaters…cause if that clip in representative of the final product, it should’ve gotten a straight-to-DVD release (after the SyFy Channel premiere, of course). That was seriously, intensely, mind-fuckingly awful. I feel bad for the kids in that clip; the director probably encouraged them to act that way. Of course when I say “act” I mean “talk at an off-screen cue”, cause what was going on there shouldn’t be called “acting”. And when I say “director” I mean “guy who may have been eating a sandwich in his trailer telling someone who’s never seen a camera before over a walkie talkie where to point the camera and what to tell the actors to do”.

  • Chris Hortola

Check out music from 10 Gauge Lobotomy

  • Looks INCREDIBLY stupid. If you’re going to do a remake, do it right. To this day, the only horror remakes that actually serve for a good purpose are “The Thing” and “The Fly”. I have yet to see a remake (while good) have its stance in the horror genre.
