A few new images for you from Texas Chainsaw 3D, which continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace.

Now we’ve got some new images (from Fangoria via Noticias De Terror), I like these pics a bit better than what I’m seeing in the trailers, they look grainier. Maybe it’s the scanner?

The slasher is being directed by John Luessenhop from a screenplay by Adam Marcus, Debra Sullivan and Kirsten Elms. Dan Yeager, John Dugan, Bill Moseley, Alexandra Daddario, Sue Rock, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Gunnar Hansen, Tobe Hooper, Paul Rae, Keram Malicki-Sánchez, Ritchie Montgomery, Trey Songz, Marilyn Burns, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry and Richard Riehle star. It’s been rated “R” by the MPAA for “strong, grisly violence and language throughout.

Head inside to take a look! The film hits in one month on January 4th, 2013. Are you excited?

Bill Moseley As Drayton is so perfect.
Also that looks like the original house on fire… which gives me tingles.

  • FreakyFreelings

They rebuilt the original house for the burning scene. I am looking forward to this direct sequel, but I am kind of bummed that “Grandpa” doesn’t look even remotely close to the original. At least that is how it looks from the photo. I thought that I read that it was even the same actor playing “Grandpa”.

I hope they didn’t just ruin the meat of the film with all of these extra pics. I think I’ll take a break from this site until the film comes out. Where’s the ELEMENT OF SURPRISE…FFS.
