Paramount has never been major for the horror genre, albeit they do carry this decade’s strongest franchise, Paranormal Activity.
This past October the fourth film was a huge failure (in terms of enjoyment), but were optimistic that they’ll square things with fans when Paranormal 5 hits theaters. Let us just hope nothing ends with a link like they did with The Devil Inside…
…and let’s be excited for their Latino Paranormal spin-off haunting theaters this spring. Now that could be a game changer!

World War Z (June 21)
The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Paranormal Activity 5 (October 25)
More witches and more of Toby the demon.
Untitled Paranormal Activity Latino Spin-off (TBD)
Christopher Landon (Disturbia) will write and direct the project, described by sources as a “cousin” to the Paranormal movies but actually not a sequel or reboot. The movie will be Latino-themed, will star a Latino cast and will tackle Catholic-based paranormal mythology. It will not, however, be in Spanish. Landon also penned both Paranormal Activity 2 and 3.
