‘The Hive’ Gets ‘The Call’ For March Release

So what happened to Carrie, you ask?

Well, Sony TriStar feels pretty good about their thriller The Hive as the Halle Berry starrer will now open in the March 15, 2013 slot as The Call.

Co-produced by WWE Films, the pic is set against the backdrop of a 911 emergency center, fast-paced suspense pic follows a 911 operator who must face her own fears in order to save a teenage girl from a serial killer.

Abigail Breslin, Justina Machado, Tara Platt, Evie Thompson, David Otunga, Michael Linstroth, Michael Eklund and Morris Chestnut also star in the flick directed by genre fav Brad Anderson (Session 9).

Here’s our full 2013 release schedule for Sony.

  • Aaron Emery

Annnd Sony moves CARRIE to October, only to swiftly replace its March 15 slot with this?!

  • JoeR

Lionsgate, now’s your chance. Move Nurse 3-D to this date. Halle Berry hasn’t been in a good movie in ages and though The Machinist was good, Anderson is hit and miss.

  • Why do people still put Berry as a headliner? She can’t act, and she hasn’t been relevant since 2001. Replace her with Zoe Saldana already, an actor who can actually act.
