I spent an unhealthy amount of time with the original House of the Dead. I can’t tell you how many nights I spent awake at 3am mowing down the undead hordes it threw my way. It was crazy, over-the-top fun and while I might’ve missed a majority of the entries that followed it, the Wii exclusive Overkill was enough to get me to return to the series. Now, the series is coming to mobile devices with House of the Dead: The Lost Reels, a game that will bring “remixed” levels from Overkill — Papa’s Palace of Pain, Ballistic Trauma, and Naked Terror — as well as Isaac Washington, Agent G, Sandi Stryper, and Varla Guns. Trailer after the break.
Once you’re through with those you can jump into the endless Survival Mode, which, as its name implies, throws you in an arena where you’ll need to fight waves of enemies. All the while you can look forward to using the in-game currency you collect to upgrade your character and equipment.
The Lost Reels is available now on iOS and Android for $4.99.
