Santiago-based producer Florencia Larrea of Kiné will continue discussions started in Cannes with sales agents on Chile’s first 3D feature, Whispers of the Forest, Screen Daily reports.
Kiné recently came on board Jorge Olguin’s horror story, now in post, which “centers on an expeditionary team that awakens an ancient supernatural force.”
Chile’s Fondo De Fomento Audiovisual backed the production, which took place in 2012 in southern parts of the country.
Larrea is also lining up the Chile-Uruguay-Brazil zombie film The Summer Hit from director.
Uruguayan funding is in place and the producers have earmarked a 2014 start.
