Here’s 12 AMAZING Minutes Of ‘Dying Light’ Footage!

DyingLight

Until now, everything we’ve seen of Dead Island developer Techland’s next-gen zombie beat ‘em up Dying Light has been limited to a gorgeous CG trailer and a few screenshots. Today, Techland has given us something significantly more substantial in the form of a twelve minute-long demo of the game.

It’s not due until sometime next year, so it’s a work in progress, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t stunning to look at. I’m certainly impressed and I can’t wait to see more — read on for the gameplay footage!

Dying Light releases on the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in 2014.

That looked intense! I loved Dead Island and Mirror’s Edge, and this definitely looks like the lovechild plus some. Very cool and frightening concept. Cant wait to get my hands on this!

this looks killer! more zombie killn’ fun!

Holy shit! Finally this looks a lot better than dead island! Freedom to go everywhere you want besides jumping at the top of cars and balconies! Awesome! Graphically looks very stylistically and cannot wait to use my free running skills to kill some zombies! Loved the double kick to the zombie that got impaled! Score!!!!!

I see your comments on these stories and we seem to have the same outlook on things lol

I wasn’t expecting much from this title but this video surprised me, and I’m pleasantly surprised. I’m often a pessamist/hardened critic in the games division but I love to be surprised.

Every once in awhile, you get that feeling of “Wow, that was AWESOME!” You used to get this feeling all the time in the SNES & PS1 days, even the Dreamcast days but after that the industry kinda became cursed when you look at it. It’s as if the WOW! factor went from 1 in 10 games (PS1) to 1 Wow every 60 games (PS3). I think this gen will bring back the prior :)

I tend to agree with you! Actually, I think it was pretty rare to be impressed on ps3 – in the last couple of years, the games that really took me by surprise were just a few. Such a shame really! Perhaps since they have more to work on and more freedom could be provided to the player himself- thus more realistic actions can be seen, then we may get surprises per month!
