Usually, I’m not a big fan of roguelikes — the unforgiving subgenre of games where death is permanent and the levels are random — mostly because I’m terrible at them. I’ll make an exception for Our Darker Purpose, because it’s incredible. It’s The Binding of Isaac with a gothic horror twist, almost as if Tim Burton had a hand in creating it. I’ve played it before and even though I absolutely embarrassed myself in the process, I had a lot of fun with it.
Check out its new Greenlight trailer, after the jump!
If gothic monster bashing sounds like a swell way to spend an afternoon, you can support the game on Steam Greenlight.
