Of the handful of blockbuster horror titles we have to look forward to on next-gen consoles, Dying Light is one of the more exciting ones. It takes much of what made the Dead Island series so much fun, like the weapon crafting, zombie bashing and light RPG elements, and introduces freerunning into the mix. You will need to master that in order to escape from the game’s deadlier creatures that only come out at night.
IGN recently spent some time with a demo of the game — shown for the first time on the PlayStation 4 — watch them play it, backed by some developer commentary, after the break.
Dying Light releases on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in 2014.
