[E3 2014] Lara Croft Returns in ‘Rise of the Tomb Raider’

Everyone’s favorite raider of tombs will be returning in Rise of the Tomb Raider, a direct sequel to the 2013 reboot. In its reveal trailer, which you can find below, Lara Croft is seen struggling to cope following the aftermath of the events in Tomb Raider. As of last August, the game was already “well into development,” and now it’s slated to release in late 2015.

If you missed the reboot, don’t fret, as Crystal Dynamics recently brought a remastered version called the Definitive Edition to PS4 and Xbox One earlier this year. It’s definitely worth checking out, if you haven’t already.

glad to see there’s a sequel as i’ve loved all the games and the last one was very very good but fall 2015? damn! lol

  • ThunderDragoon

That happened pretty fast! Damn, they wasted no time.

      It’s Tomb Raider! She’s rising!

  • I liked the reboot but I do not like this Lara Croft that proceeds killing everyone. After the first kill in the reboot, she killed like a billion of survivors unaffected and pretty much her crew died in the process. She seemed to feel not at all guilty just because she saved Sam :/ As a game was amazing and the storyline enganging enough but focusing on the trauma of her first kill and then putting her against hordes of evil people that meet their maker afterwards seems to be a bit of a contradiction. Now she goes to the shrink, has an Assassin’s creed hoodie and is a master of stealth? What happened to Lara badass when she needs to be Croft who seeks an archaeological thrill?
