Uwe Boll Will Sell You ‘Rampage 3’ For Only $100

Rampage: Capital Punishment

I’ll be the first to admit that Uwe Bolls’ 2010 Rampage is not only his best movie, but also an enjoyable one (review).

The sequel, Rampage: Capital Punishment, released this past August, not so much (read Patrick’s review).

I was actually excited about the sequel, only to realize that there’s not much more Boll can say, and that a tighter sequel budget really put the hurt on Billy Williamson’s political carnage.

Even though nobody is demanding it, Boll has enlisted Brendan Fletcher to pitch you on why you should help them finance Rampage 3: No Mercy.

The project has been launched on Indiegogo with a campaign goal of a mere $100k (that’s surprisingly low for such an action-heavy franchise). The catch – as of this writing – is that you can’t actually buy the DVD or Blu-ray until the $100 tier. Yes, that means for $20 you only get a “thank you,” while $40 nets you a commentary mention and end credit thanks. But no copy of the movie – not even a digital download. Yeah, no thanks.

But if you’re rich and dying to see this happen, Boll promises that Rampage 3 will have way more action than the sequel, which was pretty damned gory if you ask me.

Matilda Firth Joins the Cast of Director Leigh Whannell’s ‘Wolf Man’ Movie

Filming is underway on The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man for Universal and Blumhouse, which will be howling its way into theaters on January 17, 2025.

Deadline reports that Matilda Firth (Disenchanted) is the latest actor to sign on, joining Christopher Abbott (Poor Things),  Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel), and Sam Jaeger.

The project will mark Whannell’s second monster movie and fourth directing collaboration with Blumhouse Productions (The Invisible Man, Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3).

Wolf Man stars Christopher Abbott as a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.

Writers include Whannell & Corbett Tuck as well as Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo.

Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production.

In the wake of the failed Dark Universe, Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man has been the only real success story for the Universal Monsters brand, which has been struggling with recent box office flops including the comedic Renfield and period horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Giving him the keys to the castle once more seems like a wise idea, to say the least.
