Well this is somehow even creepier than the real trailer.
It’s impossible to not be excited for Andy Muschietti’s upcoming adaption of IT, which just got an official trailer last week that quickly shattered all global traffic records here on the internet. Needless to say, the film is going to make a killing at the box office, and we cannot wait to see how good it is and how well it does. While we wait, we’ve got a little treat for you today.
One fan has taken it upon himself to make his own edit of the aforementioned IT trailer, replacing all appearances of Pennywise with the live-action Cat in the Hat that Mike Myers played back in 2003. The spoof trailer blends together the two films in other ways too, imagining a world wherein the Cat has invaded Derry on the hunt for children. A terrifying thought, to say the least.

In theaters September 8, 2017, the film is set “in a small town in Maine, where seven children known as The Losers’ Club come face to face with life problems, bullies, and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.“
Bill Skarsgard stars as Pennywise, the sewer-dwelling monster. The cast also includes Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Nicholas Hamilton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor. Creature performer Javier Botet will play The Leper, and Owen Teague plays Patrick Hocksetter, a bully who torment the Losers’ Club.
