We’ve got four more clips from Wrekin Hill Entertainment and Lionsgate’s Dark Tide, their shark thriller from Turistas director John Stockwell. These clips aren’t the worst thing ever, but they’re not great. Sadly, the whole thing reeks of my biggest pet peeve, laziness.

The flick leads off with a three-week Ultra VOD window on March 8th with a theatrical release on March 30th, culminating in a packaged media and Digital Download release, the Halle Berry thriller will head to home video on April 8.

“Kate (Halle Berry), shark naturalist and documentarian, has been reluctant to re-enter the water since the tragic death of her mentor. Once renowned for swimming with Great White Sharks without the protection of a cage, Kate now spends her days giving mundane wildlife tours. However, the surprise arrival of her old partner and boyfriend, Jeff (Olivier Martinez), convinces her to face her inner demons and get back in the water with the fiercest of predators.”

Dark Tide also stars Ralph Brown, Adi Shankar, Luke Stein, Mark Elderkin, Thoko Ntshinga and Sizwe Msutu.

The first clip has surfaced (and quickly sinks) from Wrekin Hill Entertainment and Lionsgate’s Dark Tide, their shark thriller from Turistas director John Stockwell. The clip is extremely weak even by weak standards. But I digress, there are two real reasons why we’re all going to watch this and they can be thoroughly enjoyed after the break (and above the clip). Lionsgate and Wrekin Hill Entertainment have released the full trailer for John Stockwell’s shark thriller Dark Tide, which features Halle Berry in a ridiculous role of a shark expert who’s drawn back to dark waters when a rich asshole decides he wants a close encounter with death.

Wrekin Hill acquired U.S. rights and will release the Halle Berry-Olivier Martinez action thriller on VOD, electronic sell-through and packaged media. After being picked up by Lionsgate and Wrekin Hill Entertainment, a pretty boring poster has premiered for John Stockwell’s shark thriller Dark Tide, which features Halle Berry and those berries that made her so famous. It looks like they’re selling it as a surf movie as opposed to a horror-thriller. And what’s with the tagline – “In Shark Alley, courage runs deep…” – what the hell does that even mean?

On sale at both Berlin and Cannes by IM Global, there’s still no distribution for John Stockwell’s shark thriller Dark Tide, which stars Halle Berry, Olivier Martinez, Ralph Brown, Adi Shankar, Luke Stein, Mark Elderkin, Thoko Ntshinga and Sizwe Msutu.

With the horrid sales trailer vanishing from the web, all we have left is an official hi-res look at stars Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez.
