Bland, but not awful.

That’s really the best way to explain almost everything about William Bell’s The Devil Inside, an exorcism film that’s a little too safe and way too familiar. At no point does Matthew Peterman and Bell’s script break the mold and do anything fresh, new or outside of the box; that is, until the very last second, when they decide to do absolutely nothing at all and abruptly end the movie, leaving everyone with blue balls and making it one of the worst studio horror films ever in one fell swoop! At Sony’s recent press conference in Japan all the rumors and speculation on their next handheld were brutally squashed by confirmations and whatever it sounds like when legions of nerds gets excited at once. The PSP 2 has been unveiled, though it’s going under the codename of NGP right now, and it’s rather fantastic.

EA recently unveiled a slew of titles coming to Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, one of which will be take place in the Dead Space universe. This isn’t a huge surprise since a mobile installment in the series was listed among upcoming EA releases some time ago, but the fact that the PSP and DS aren’t getting any dismembering love is a little surprising.

However, this will not be the same game the consoles are getting in January, instead this game will bridge the gap between the original and its upcoming sequel.
