ZombiU2

Early Prototype For ‘ZombiU’ Sequel In Development

I was afraid Ubisoft’s Dark-Souls-meets-Dead-Island launch title for the Wii U would be a one-off. According to our very own David Harley, it was a mix of terror and tedium, and I’d agree. Its difficulty might’ve bordered on too unforgiving at times, the combat could’ve used a bit more work to make it less repetitive, and the world didn’t ever feel fully realized or all that interesting. Even still, it was a survival horror game that wasn’t afraid to experiment, and it built a strong foundation for a sequel I was almost certain we’d never see.

There’s still a definite possibility we won’t see a ZombiU 2, but a recent tweet from Ubisoft creative director Jean-Philippe Caro at least gives us a bit of hope. “The team is working hard on a prototype,” Caro told a fan on Twitter. “It’s too soon to tell you more.” So it’s confirmed, Ubisoft Montpellier has an early prototype in the works. That leaves us with one question — what would you like to see from a ZombiU sequel?

We Got Our Bloody Hands On Some Info Regarding The DualShock 4 Controllers For The Playstation 4

So today I found out from somebody who knows somebody a little bit of exciting info about the upcoming Playstation 4 Dual Shock Controllers. They are looking pretty weird and pretty awesome. I still don’t like the thumb stick placement as opposed to the Xbox Controllers, but the redesigned thumb sticks could make up for it. It definitely looks like Sony is trying to incorporate some things their competitors are doing but on a smaller scale. Head past the break for a normal sized pic, and the specs we know so far.

‘Murder Your Maker’ Teases Prototype 2 Reveal

Let the viral marketing commence! Murder Your Maker is one of those sites we’re all used to by now that’s created with the soul purpose of hyping up a game. Unlike most viral sites however, this one looks to have given away too much in its incredibly brief teaser that you can check out by hitting that adorable ‘Read More’ button below.

1 Murder Your Maker Teases Prototype 2 Reveal

I enjoyed the first Prototype because despite its numerous flaws it got one very important thing right: it was fun. With the exception of Saint’s Row too many sandbox games toss ‘fun’ in the backseat so they can better focus on pesky little things like realism or visuals. It’s because of this that I will always choose Saint’s Row 2 over Grand Theft Auto IV, because I have absolutely no desire to go bowling with my cousin or stare at the outside of an apartment complex while my character makes sweet, sweet love to some chick I just spent a few hours romancing. Err, sorry about the tangent, head past the break for the teaser and why it’s almost certainly all about Prototype 2. READ MORE

Prototype #1 Review : A Journey Into Comic Adaptation Mediocrity

This week Wildstorm Comics released a comic adaptation of the upcoming videogame, Prototype. In the video game you play a guy named Alex who wakes up in a morgue with amensia and a bevvy of super powers and has to figure out everything out. The plot in the game is definitely not it’s strong suit but even that weak plot is ‘Godfather’ quality compared to the comic. Full review after the break…

New Releases This Week – 3/31

A nice haul this comic book Wednesday, little bit for everybody. Full list after the jump, but here are a couple suggestions if I may be so bold. Tales from the Crypt #11 has writing by David Gerrold who helped on the classic Star Trek looks fun. Breathers and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies look like 2 zombie books that are outside the usual now stale zombie genre. And for video game fans there is Prototype #1 and the Resident Evil Fire and Ice TP. There are a bunch more so check the break to see the list…what are you getting this week?

News That Sucks, Prototype Delayed

Well Prototype has been pushed completely out of 2008 and into 2009. Bad because obviously I want it right now. Good because, it gives them more time to make it awesome, and they had previously removed multiplayer. If you have seen the videos of the game play, can you even imagine how amazing it would be reeking havoc on New York with a friend, or possibly more? So hopefully they will bring it back. If you have not seen the gameplay, click past the break to get excited. READ MORE
