If you didn’t go wait out in line at midnight last night with the weirdos that hang out in a Game Stop late, you’ve probably quickly snuck in and out of a Best Buy today to pick up Dead Space 3. If you’re new to the series and this is your first Dead Space experience, I suggest you head past the break and check out “The Story So Far” trailer. It gets you up to date on what some of the history of the games and without major spoilers gives you info on the 1st 2 games. It’s also good if you need an all around refresher like me. NetherRealm studios the masterminds behind Mortal Kombat are hard at work on their next game, Injustice: Gods Among Us. Straying a bit out of the normal, the game features a very in depth story filled with characters from the DC Comic Universe. It looks as if the game will do what the newest Mortal Kombat did engaging you in a story while sporadically throwing you into Mortal Kombat style one on one (maybe more?) fights. Check out the heart pounding ‘The Line’ trailer below.

Look out for the games release April 19th on the Playstation 3, WiiU, and Xbox 360. Also, was that Bruce Willis in that trailer?

I wasn’t very impressed with the last Dead Space 3 trailer. Just when I think a Dead Space trailer couldn’t possibly be any dumber, they go and do something like this….and totally redeem themselves! (Reference, anyone?!) This new story trailer is kick ass, heart pounding awesomeness. It feels like a movie trailer, and those are my favorite. Not every trailer can be super great. This one sure isn’t. It also features a meh version of Phil Collins classic “In The Air Tonight”. Will that put me off from playing the game? Fuck no. One of the best parts about a Dead Space game is getting a good look at the incredibly demented creatures that are going to be destroying you. Ripping you limb from limb, and playing around with your giblets. Every creature is straight from the depths of your nightmares, and they keep getting better and better. If you head past the break you can get an inside look at some of the Necros you’ll be seeing in Dead Space 3 along with descriptions of them. I’ve been an avid watcher of the Final Hours Of Tomb Raider video series. Tomb Raider is probably the number 1 game I’m looking forward to, so I’m pretty excited for anything I can watch about it. I shouldn’t be picky about a Walking Dead game. But do I feel like it should look better? Yeah a little. I mean we’re talking about Activision. They’ve got that Call Of Duty money. But technically if they can bank off of Call Of Duty without making those graphics as amazing as say Battlefield, then why can’t they do it with this new Walking Dead Survival Instinct? With over 150 million sold, Sony’s PlayStation 2 is the most successful home gaming console of all time. It launched on March 4, 2000, and during the twelve years that followed it brought us video games that defined, or redefined, their respective genres. The PS2 also hosted the latter half of the golden era of the survival horror genre (late 90′s – early 00′s), which birthed amazing horror games like Resident Evil 4, Silent Hill 2, Half-Life, Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, Siren, and so much more. For many horror fans, including myself, the PS2 was the console of choice for horror.

Some of my fondest gaming memories came from PS2 games, but like all good things, it’s come to an end. Let’s celebrate the end of such a stellar console by voting on the best horror games that released on it. More after the jump.

It’s dark, gritty, and real, and that in my opinion is going to rejuvenate the hell out of the series. Scoring the upcoming Tomb Raider game is the magically talented Jason Graves. He is the mind behind the horrific nightmarish sounds you heard in Dead Space. In the video you van check out past the break Zachary Levi (Chuck) again takes us behind the scenes. He travels to London to (BAFTA) the British Academy of Film and Television Arts headquarters and talks to Jason Graves about his work on Tomb Raider. Star Trek is coming in early 2013 to the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 early next year. I’m pretty excited about the game. Ever since recently jumping into the Mass Effect series I’ve gotten an itch for space games. Hopefully Star Trek will scratch it good. I’ve been excited for Far Cry 3 since I saw the first trailer. I’m definitely very excited about it. But after seeing this video for the map editor, holy shit am I pumped. There is tons you can do, and while I love forging in Halo sometimes it’s nice to switch it up. Building towns on a beautiful island, building your own death trap animal filled multiplayer maps to murder your friends on? Oh yes.
