The Best Horror Game Of 2009, Voted By You!

Back again just like the past 2 years, and like always I want to know what YOU thought was the best horror game of 2009. Last year was a good race, and Dead Space narrowly beat out Left 4 Dead for the win. I could post a top 10 of my favorite horror games of last year, but I like it better when you guys do the work for me.

gameof2009 The Best Horror Game Of 2009, Voted By You!

And now for my wonderous disclaimer. The games on this list are that that would reflect anything horror, sci-fi, bloody and or disgusting, gory, thrillerish, creepy, aliens, ghosts, zombies, vampires, plain old really weird stuff, stuff that is outside of “normal”, there are no Mario’s in this list, no Call Of Duty’s, these are the games people cringe at. The games some people are too scared to play. The games parents don’t want their kids playing. The games that we love here on BD.

Free Comics in The PSN Digital Comics Launch

Always a purveyor of free things, I found not only 1 free comic but 16. Playstation Network just launched a Digital Comics section for it’s Playstation Portable Console. If you go to there store you can check out a bunch of series in differenet genres. Check out their blog for more info. I downloaded a couple last night. I read “Aleister Arcane” from IDW and was pretty impressed in not only the comic itself but the way you navigate through the comic on the console and the whole presentation. Will you use this feature?

Obscure: The Aftermath For The PSP

You may or may not have heard of the Obscure games. They revolve around a group of high school students in the 1st game, whose friend goes missing. So they are searching their high school in search of him only to find out their high school is totally f*cked. While cheesy to the max, the game still does a good job at creeping you out.

10 Obscure: The Aftermath For The PSP

In Obscure: The Aftermath, the same group of kids move on to college together only to have more messed up shit happen at their school. Strange black flowers started growing around campus. Well naturally the kids around school start smoking the new plant. Somehow turning a bad trip into a horrible reality. The soundtrack in the second game was actually performed by the Boston String Quartet and the Paris Opera Children’s Choir. The game is out now for the PSP and the PSP Go.
