UPDATE: The deceased man is Scott Johnson, a drum tech for Radiohead.

A stage collapsed in a Toronto park a few hours before rock band Radiohead was slated to appear for a sold-out performance. The stage collapsed at 4 p.m., an hour before spectators were to be let in. Crew members were still putting together the stage for the performance when scaffolding 50-feet in the air came down. Three people suffered non-life threatening injuries but one man, who is still unidentified until next of kin can be notified, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. Radiohead obviously cancelled the concert and assured fans that tickets would be refunded.

Having worked backstage at concerts before, I know how intense and physically demanding of a job this can be. My condolences go out to the family of the deceased man and my thoughts go to those who were injured. READ MORE

Evile Release Pretty Cool Video For ‘Cult’

Remember that Radiohead video for House of Cards? You know, the one that was shot with no cameras or lights, just lasers and a fancy system to pick it all up? Well, Evile have released a video for Cult, which comes off their upcoming album Five Serpent’s Teeth, and it’s, in my opinion, a much cooler take on this idea.

Check it out after the jump and let me know who you think did it better, Radiohead or Evil?
