Competition breeds innovation, right? Back in January, we reported on an incoming Resident Evil 2 fan-made remake. Now, we have another. This proof-of-concept video by YouTuber Rod Lima shows off environments and models that were taken from Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles — question: why didn’t Capcom do this first? — with scripting in UDK.
Unlike the fan-made Resident Evil 2 Reborn project, this likely won’t become an actual, playable game. But it’s still neat. Maybe seeing more than one fan try to remake their game will inspire Capcom to get off their bums and give us what their fans clearly want.
