Good things come to those who wait. After arriving on PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series last September, Byte Barrel’s Lovecraftian FPS Forgive Me Father 2 will finally land on the Nintendo Switch (and Switch) next week on January 22. Pre-orders are open now.

Byte Barrel also took the opportunity to announce a special giveaway on the game’s Steam page. To celebrate the state of the franchise, they’re giving away a free game. To get in on the fun, you simply need to leave a comment on the page above, sharing your favorite aspect of either game. The devs will choose five lucky winners with the most intriguing answers next week.

Forgive Me Father 2 sees you continue the story of the Priest character from the 2022 original, taking players from war-torn trenches and haunted villas to desecrated cathedrals across 10 dread-inducing new levels, each representing a new nightmare created by the Great Old Ones. These terrors distort the protagonist’s memories and transport the player into an intense fight for survival, where they must investigate to find where the nightmares end and reality begins.

And as in the previous game, the madness system returns, allowing you to unleash absolute mayhem on your foes and gain extraordinary powers as a reward. However, as before, the more insane you become, the stronger your foes. Embrace the insanity, use it to fuel your bizarre new abilities, but do so with caution.

If you haven’t yet checked out Aniplex Inc. and JOYCITY Corporation’s Resident Evil Survival Unit, the free-to-play real-time strategy game has just announced a new collaboration with another Capcom property in Monster Hunter to entice prospective players. Kicking off on July 2 and running until July 29, the limited-time collaboration will introduce Monster Hunter–inspired elements into the post-apocalyptic world of Resident Evil Survival Unit, adding large-scale monster encounters to the game’s strategic systems.

Details on the collaboration are being kept under wraps for now, but during the event, players will be able to participate in collaboration-exclusive in-game events that will earn them special rewards inspired by the Monster Hunter series. We do get a brief teaser trailer for the upcoming event, which in addition to teasing various monsters for players to battle, also promises new units for players to recruit.

Set in a parallel world inspired by the Resident Evil universe, the game features an original storyline and real-time strategic gameplay designed for mobile platforms. Players will build bases, secure resources, and battle creatures in a collapsed city. Iconic characters such as Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine appear throughout the game, allowing for team formations that bring together characters from across the Resident Evil franchise, enabling unique combinations not seen in the original titles.

Resident Evil Survival Unit is available on iOS and Android devices.
