Delve Into the Cenobites in the Latest ‘Hellraiser: Revival’ Dev Diary [Video]
Boss Team Games and Saber Interactive continue their developer diary series for the upcoming Hellraiser: Revival, this time turning to the topic of the Cenobites themselves. Joined once again by Pinhead himself, Doug Bradley, and members of the development team, the dev diary focuses on how the devteams bring players face to face with the Cenobites like never before.
While his infamy has grown into the stuff of legends in the nearly four decades since the original film’s debut, Pinhead has always been more than a mindless killing machine. “I’m often asked by fans about favorite kills [from the series],” says Bradley in the opening of the video. “And I think that’s a misconception about Pinhead because he’s not really a killer. The killing is not the thing for him. It’s the suffering.”
With Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, Saber and Boss Team Games are delving deeper into the twisted depths of who the Cenobites are…and what they may really be after. As players investigate this mystery, they’ll have to survive the predictably unimaginable realm of suffering from the Cenobites. In addition to Pinhead himself, that includes the Chatterer, Butterball, and the Female Cenobite. Each Cenobite has been faithfully brought to un-life in unique ways reflected by the game’s atmosphere, environmental design and more.
Hellraiser: Revival welcomes you to the suffering later this year on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series.
